As Vice President of the Copiague Chamber of Commerce, I recognized the critical need to elevate the visibility of small businesses within our community.
Overview
South Shore Living was created to offer an affordable, high-quality platform for small and medium-sized businesses to boost their visibility and community reach. The magazine quickly became a staple on coffee tables, symbolizing both sophistication and effective local advertising

My approach to this project involved the following:

I personally maintained regular contact with prospective advertisers, offering ongoing support and advice on maximizing their ad’s effectiveness. Building strong, supportive relationships encouraged long-term advertising commitments.
Implementing these strategies helped small businesses see the value in advertising with our magazine, fostering a mutually beneficial partnership.
The Results
The impact of COVID-19 was devastating for our Long Island community. Consequently, we lost many of our advertisers. In response, we offered free online advertisements for several months through our digital magazine. Despite these efforts, we were unable to retain clients, as many of them experienced significant losses.
